Organizations Filed Purposes: ESTABLISHED TO SEEK OUT, PROMOTE, FINANCE, SPONSOR, SCHEDULE, CONDUCT, AND OPERATE AN ANNUAL CALENDAR OF LOCAL, STATE, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR AND COLLEGIATE SPORTING EVENTS IN THE GREATER NEW ORLEANS AREA AND THE STATE OF LOUISIANA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF GENERATING TOURISM.

THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS MORE THAN 40 AMATEUR SPORTING EVENTS IN LOUISIANA AND AROUND THE GREATER NEW ORLEANS METROPOLITAN AREA. TO PROMOTE AMATEUR SPORTS IN THE AREA, THE SUGAR BOWL SUPPORTED STATE AND LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS FOR VOLLEYBALL, TRACK, GOLF, REGATTA, LACROSSE, SOCCER, BASKETBALL, PREP FOOTBALL, AND TENNIS. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS THE MANNING AWARD, NATIONAL FOOTBALL FOUNDATION, NCAA FOOTBALL YOUTH INITATIVE, AND THE LOUISIANA HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (LHSAA) EVENT AWARDS. THE SUM TOTAL OF THE ECONOMIC IMPACT FOR ALL SUGAR BOWL ACTIVITIES WAS $250.48 MILLION DURING THE 2013-2014 FISCAL YEAR.

DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2012, THE SUGAR BOWL DONATED $1,000,000 TO A LOCAL FOUNDATION FOR THE RESTRICTED PURPOSE OF RESTORING THE FACILITIES OF JOE BROWN PARK IN NEW ORLEANS. ACCOMPANYING THIS DONATION IS A COMMITMENT TO THE FOUNDATION OF $100,000 PER YEAR FOR 10 YEARS OF DEDICATED MAINTENANCE AND PROGRAMMING.
