LAHEY CLINIC, INC. EMPLOYS PHYSICIANS IN OVER 40 MEDICAL AND SURGICAL SPECIALTIES, INCLUDING PRIMARY CARE. THE PHYSICIANS OF LAHEY CLINIC, INC. PROVIDE TERTIARY CARE IN TWO LICENSED HOSPITAL FACILITIES COMPRISED OF 345 LICENSED BEDS. THE PHYSICIANS AND MEDICAL STAFF OF LHMC TREAT MORE THAN 949,000 PATIENTS AT THE PHYSICIAN OFFICES, OVER 66,000 IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND PROVIDE OVER 20,000 SURGICAL PROCEDURES AND HOSPITAL DISCHARGES OF APPROXIMATELY 24,000 PATIENTS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS. THE BURLINGTON CAMPUS HAS A 24-HOUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT DESIGNED AS A LEVEL I TRAUMA CENTER. THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PHYSICIANS ALSO SERVE AS "MEDICAL CONTROL" FOR VARIOUS AREA AMBULANCE SERVICES, FOR WHICH THEY DIRECT PRE-HOSPITALIZATION CARE BY RADIO TO PARAMEDICS AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS IN THE FIELD. THIS LEVEL I VERIFICATION REFLECTS LAHEY CLINIC, INC'S UNIQUE ABILITY TO PROVIDE EXCEPTIONAL CARE TO THE PATIENTS WHO NEED IT MOST. THE JOSEPH C. CORKERY EMERGENCY CENTER AT LAHEY HOSPITAL & MEDICAL CENTER OFFERS ADVANCED EMERGENCY CARE IN A FACILITY BUILT SPECIFICALLY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY. IT FEATURES: 36 PRIVATE ROOMS WITH SPACE FOR FAMILY MEMBERS TO STAY WITH PATIENTS AN ADVANCED IMAGING SUITE FOR CT SCANS AND X-RAYS COMFORTABLE WAITING AREAS ENHANCED INFECTION AND DECONTAMINATION AREAS FOUR TRAUMA BAYS WITH PASSAGEWAYS BETWEEN THE ROOMS TO ALLOW DOCTORS EASY ACCESS TO MULTIPLE PATIENTS AT A TIME FREE, CONVENIENT PARKING THREE PRIVATE EXAM ROOMS FOR PATIENTS IN NEED OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICESFAST TRACK TRIAGEIF A PATIENT'S ILLNESS OR INJURY IS NOT LIFE-THREATENING, THE FAST TRACK TRIAGE AREA PROVIDES PATIENTS WITH IMPROVED ACCESS TO CARE AND LESS TIME SPENT IN THE WAITING ROOM. IN ADDITION, MANY OTHER RESEARCH PROJECTS SPECIFIC TO ORGAN SYSTEMS AND SPECIALTY SERVICES ARE CONDUCTED ON A CONTINUING BASIS.INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGYLHMC'S INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY PROGRAM PROVIDES INTERVENTIONAL ANGIOGRAPHY, AS WELL AS INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY PROCEDURES IN SUCH SUBSPECIALTIES AS INVASIVE CARDIOLOGY, PERIPHERAL VASCULAR AND UROLOGY PROCEDURES. THE FACILITY HAS BLOOD DRAW, RADIOLOGY AND A PHARMACY ON SITE, AND OFFER EVENING AND WEEKEND APPOINTMENTS.LAHEY ALSO PROVIDES PRIMARY CARE HEALTH CARE SERVICES IN LEXINGTON, PEABODY AND COMMUNITY LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT NORTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS.THE NANCY M. CAMMARATA CENTER FOR GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINEIS LOCATED AT 67 SOUTH BEDFORD STREET IN BURLINGTON IS THE NEW FACILITY FOR PATIENTS TO RECEIVE GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINE SERVICES.
