Organizations Filed Purposes: In partnership, after a major disaster, to rebuild the homes of uninsured, low-income homeowners who lack the wherewithal to complete the rebuild themselves. The mission is accomplished using volunteer labor under the supervision of our professional staff with funds from donations and grants.

In partnership, to rebuild homes and lives for the most needy homeowners after a major disaster and to accomplish major repairs where homeowner is unable to complete repairs themselves

Work continued rebuilding in the Hurricane Harvey-damaged area of mainland Galveston County, TX. We restored 30 families to their fully restored home including 6 homes which were entirely new construction (demolished existing storm-damaged structure and rebuilt). In eastern North Carolina (Hurricane Florence) we continued our rebuilding program in Craven and Pamlico Counties completing 46 fully restored homes. We also established a rebuilding operation in Panama City, FL (Hurricane Michael), with seven homes underway. As a volunteer driven organization, COVID-19 had a dramatic effect driving our volunteer count to zero. In March we essentially transitioned to building with only staff and subcontractors.
