List of Program Accomplishments1. Education:Sidsar School Project, IndiaProviding access to affordable and quality education to the students whose families have either limited or no economic resources is one of the primary-focuses of KPSNA. We are being involved in administering Shree Vijapura Vidya Sankul where almost 1100 underprivileged students are getting benefits to take their Primary, Middle School, and High School education at very nominal fee. We have provided support to build the facilities like class rooms, library, dome, etc.Gondal School Project, IndiaShree B. H. Patel Kanya Chhatralay provides exceptional lodging & boarding to girls at very nominal annual fees. The institution also facilitates the opportunities to become self-entrepreneur by giving them various technical courses. We have provided support to build the facilities like class rooms, library, dome, etc.Need-based Students Scholarship ProgramProviding access to affordable and quality education to the students whose families have either limited or no economic resources is one of the primary-focuses of KPSNA. We are being involved in administering need based students scholarships where we define criteria to qualify for this scholarship based on their financial and family situation. Each year more than thousand students apply for this scholarship and we select about 500 students and allocate scholarship amounts based on verification of their true needs. Majority of these students are from primary and high school level students. Our main objective is to ensure no one quite their basic education because of their family financial situationBrilliant Students Scholarship ProgramWe strongly believe that students learn from each other and institutions should provide a platform and environment. For this, we encourage the students who do well in our entrance exam by subsidizing their tuition fee to come to our boarding school; so other students can benefit from brilliant students. We have been experimenting with this for the last five years and it is working well and our overall academic standard is improving year by year. We try to keep 1/3 brilliant students with 2/3 of general category students.2. Health:Sanitation ProjectIn any society, it is important for people to be healthy to be happy and progress in their lives. KPSNA is involved in a health awareness program which includes the importance of good sanitation to villagers and also offers the funding to build toilets in their homes. KPSNA have been involved in sanitation projects along with our local chapter PCA where we have built about 400 toilets in Motimarad and about 450 toilets in various other villages nearby. We are also educating people about garbage collection and disposal. Providing garbage collection cans in various villages and trying to work with their local body of panchayats.Clean Drinking Water (R. O. Plant) ProjectIn rural India, majority village people drink water directly from the ground and this water may have many different bacteria which goes to the body and works against the digestion process. One government statistic said 45% diseases are waterborne in rural India. It is a big issue, not just providing pure drinking water, but also educating uneducated people the importance of pure drinking water. 90% of women are anemic and the drinking water is a big part of this problem. Since starting the project we have installed 65 RO plants in different villages and boarding schools with the majority fund from their village person who is living in the USA. This helped connect the person to their native and work with village people to understand other issues as well. We have a matching fund from KPSNA, so anyone who would like to donate RO plants to their village; KPSNA will match the 50% of the required fund, which is about $1500. We encourage donors to take advantage of this program.Cancer Prevention SupportIn collaboration with the Rajkot Cancer Society, Kudaria Foundation has started a cancer prevention program. KPSNA remains a key contributor. Our goal is to create an education and awareness about cancer and find interventions of treatable/preventable cancers of breast, oral cavity, and cervical cancer.
