EXHIBITS & AFFILIATED PROGRAMS - THROUGH OUR EXHIBITS, THE INDIAN PUEBLO CULTURAL CENTER (IPCC) CREATES EXPERIENCES FOR OUR GUESTS, BOTH NATIVE AMERICAN AND NON-NATIVE AMERICAN, TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, STRUGGLES, AND OUR UNIQUE LIFEWAYS AND BELIEFS AS PUEBLO PEOPLE. WE STRIVE TO CREATE MEANINGFUL EXHIBITS, LECTURES, AND DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING THAT FOCUSES ON THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE. THIS IS DONE BY SHARING STORIES, HEARING THE DISTINCTIVE PUEBLO LANGUAGES, SHOWCASING ART, AND HIGHLIGHTING CULTURAL OBJECTS IN A MANNER THAT ACCURATELY REPRESENTS WHO WE ARE AS PUEBLO PEOPLE. WE HOPE TO START, CONTINUE, AND/OR BE A PART OF THE DIALOGUE WHEN ADDRESSING THE STATE'S CULTURAL LANDSCAPE, LEGACY OF HISTORICAL TRAUMA, AND STORY OF RESILIENCE, SURVIVAL, AND CONTINUANCE FROM THE PUEBLO PERSPECTIVE. IPCC IS A WORLD-CLASS FACILITY IN EDUCATING VISITORS ABOUT THE LEGACY OF RESILIENCE, ACCOMPLISHMENTS, AND LIVING HISTORY OF PUEBLO PEOPLE AND SERVES AS A VIBRANT PLACE FOR PEOPLE OF ALL CULTURES TO SHARE, LEARN, AND DISCOVER.

TRADITIONAL DANCES - THE INDIAN PUEBLO CULTURAL CENTER (IPCC) OFFERS YEAR- ROUND TRADITIONAL NATIVE AMERICAN DANCE PERFORMANCES ACCOMPANIED BY INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMMING. THE DANCE GROUPS REPRESENT A PORTION OF THE 19 PUEBLOS OF NEW MEXICO AND SEVERAL GROUPS FROM OTHER SOUTHWESTERN TRIBES. THERE ARE TWO PERIODS DURING EACH YEAR WHERE WE INCREASE THE NUMBER OF DANCES AT THE CENTER; AMERICAN INDIAN WEEK-PUEBLO DAYS CELEBRATION, LAST FULL WEEK IN APRIL; AND BALLOON FIESTA WEEK, 10 DAYS AT THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER.

CULTURAL EDUCATION AND TOURS - THE INDIAN PUEBLO CULTURAL CENTER (IPCC) HAS WORKED TO DEVELOP ITS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING TO SHARE WITH OUR GUESTS, AT ALL BACKGROUNDS AND EXPERIENCES, THE COMPLEX POLITICAL, SOCIAL, CULTURAL, AND ECONOMIC HISTORY OF PUEBLO PEOPLE. WHETHER ON A GUIDED TOUR OR EXPLORING IPCC ON THEIR OWN, GUESTS CAN MOVE THROUGHOUT OUR FACILITY AND FEEL OUR PUEBLO PERSPECTIVE ON HISTORICAL EVENTS, LEARN TRADITIONAL CONCEPTS, AND/OR DRAW CRITICAL CONNECTIONS TO PUEBLO CORE VALUES, WHICH DEVELOPS AND PROMOTES MUTUAL RESPECT ACROSS CULTURES. IPCC HAS WORKED TO CREATE A PUEBLO CURRICULUM (K-12) WHICH ALIGNS WITH NM STANDARDS AND BENCHMARKS TO PROVIDE NM EDUCATORS OVER 100 UNIT PLANS THEY CAN USE TO INCORPORATE THE PUEBLO STORY AND PERSPECTIVE THEIR CLASSROOM. OUR EDUCATION PROGRAM ALSO HOSTS TOUR GROUP WITH AGE SPECIFIC TOURS AND HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES TO ENHANCE THEIR EXPERIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING OF PUEBLO CULTURE. OUR LEARNING GARDEN, ENTITLED RESILIENCE GARDEN SHARES THE STORY OF PUEBLO AGRICULTURE FROM PRE-CONTACT THROUGH TODAY'S FARM-TO-TABLE MOVEMENT. BY CREATING EXHIBITS THAT ARE INTERACTIVE AND ENCOURAGING GUESTS TO LEARN AND DISCOVER WE FEEL WE'RE BETTER ABLE TO CONNECT VALUES OF THE PAST WITH COMMUNITIES OF TODAY.
