Organizations Filed Purposes: TO PRESERVE AND PERPETUATE PUEBLO CULTURE AND TO ADVANCE UNDERSTANDING BY PRESENTING WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT, THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND EVOLVING HISTORY OF THE PUEBLO PEOPLE OF NEW MEXICO.

TRADITIONAL DANCES - THE INDIAN PUEBLO CULTURAL CENTER (IPCC) OFFERS YEAR-ROUND TRADITIONAL NATIVE AMERICAN DANCE PERFORMANCES ACCOMPANIED BY INTERPRETIVE PROGRAMMING. THE DANCE GROUPS REPRESENT A PORTION OF THE 19 PUEBLOS OF NEW MEXICO AND SEVERAL GROUPS FROM OTHER SOUTHWESTERN TRIBES. THERE ARE TWO PERIODS DURING EACH YEAR WHERE WE INCREASE THE NUMBER OF DANCES AT THE CENTER; 1) AMERICAN INDIAN WEEK-PUEBLO DAYS CELEBRATION, LAST FULLWEEK IN APRIL; AND BALLOON FIESTA WEEK, 10 DAYS AT THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER.

EXHIBITIONS AND AFFILIATED PROGRAMS - THE INDIAN PUEBLO CULTURAL CENTER (IPCC) PRESENTS EXHIBITIONS BASED ON PUEBLO INDIAN CULTURE, HISTORY, ART AND LIFEWAY. A STRONG FOUNDATION AND EMPHASIS IS PLACED UPON PUEBLO CORE VALUES AS THE SOURCE TO GUIDE EXHIBITION AND PROGRAMMATIC DEVELOPMENT. ONE EXAMPLE IS 100 YEARS OF STATE & FEDERAL POLICY: THE IMPACT ON PUEBLO NATIONS, A SPECIAL EXHIBITION REFLECTING UPON THE LAST ONE HUNDRED YEARS (1912-2012) AND MAJOR HISTORICAL EVENTS AND MILESTONES IMPACTING PUEBLO NATIONS. THE EXHIBITION TELLS A MODERN STORY OF RESILIENCE AND HOW PUEBLO PEOPLE RESPONDED TO IMPOSED CHALLENGES (POLICIES & LAWS) UPON OUR CORE VALUES. VISTIORS WILL LEARN OF THE HUMAN IMPACT AND HEAR PERSONAL EXPERIENCES BEHIND THOSE ENACTED POLICIES UPON OUR PUEBLO PEOPLE. MULTIMEDIA TOUCH SCREEN UNITS ENGAGE VISITORS WITH VIDEO INTERVIEWS, IMAGES AND DOCUMENTS. AFFILIATED PROGRAMS SUPPORT THE CURRENT EXHIBITIONS (100 YEARS; THE ZUNI WORLD: ZUNI MAP ART; TO FEEL THE EARTH: MOCCASINS BANNER EXHIBITION, SAINTS OF THE PUEBLOS) TO PROVIDE VISITORS WITH CULTURAL BASED LEARNING EXPERIENCES THROUGH GUIDED TOURS, LECTURES, TRADITIONAL NATIVE AMERICAN DANCES, AND SPECIAL EVENTS. THE IPCC ENGAGES WITH NATIVE AMERICAN ARTISANS FROM THE PUEBLOS, SURROUNDING TRIBES IN NEW MEXICO TO PROVIDE ARTIST RENDOR SPACES TO SELL AUTHENTIC WORKS OF ART. THE IPCC ALSO PRODUCES TWO ART MARKETS ANNUALLY TO SERVE AS A MARKETPLACE FOR NATIVE ARTISANS.
