Organizations Filed Purposes: OUR MISSION IS TO PUT FAITH IN ACTION TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF THOSE IN NEED. WE PROVIDE SERVICES TO PROMOTE SELF-SUFFICIENCY, STRENGTHEN FAMILIES, FIGHT POVERTY AND BUILD COMMUNITY. AS THE LOCAL 501(C)3 AFFILIATE OF CATHOLIC CHARITIES USA, WE REMAIN DEDICATED TO FINDING SOLUTIONS TO SOME OF THE MOST PRESSING SOCIAL CHALLENGES INDIVIDUALS, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FACE REGARDLESS OF RACE, RELIGION, COLOR, COUNTRY OF ORIGIN, DISABILITIES, AGE OR SEXUAL ORIENTATION.

IMMIGRATION/CITIZENSHIP LEGAL ASSISTANCE/REFUGEE SUPPORT - THE CENTER FOR IMMIGRATION AND CITIZENSHIP LEGAL ASSISTANCE OFFERS IMMIGRATION REPRESENTATION IN FAMILY-BASED IMMIGRATION MATTERS, CONSULAR PROCESSING, DEFERRED ACTION FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD ARRIVALS (DACA), PERMANENT RESIDENCE, AND NATURALIZATION. THE CENTER FOR REFUGEE SUPPORT IS INTENDED TO SUPPORT THE MANY STRUGGLING REFUGEE FAMILIES ALREADY LIVING IN ALBUQUERQUE. WE ARE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING MEANINGFUL SUPPORT TO HELP THESE FAMILIES ACHIEVE SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND BECOME INTEGRAL MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY.

SELF SUFFICIENCY AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE - THE CENTER FOR SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROVIDES HOUSING ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO ASSIST THEM TO TRANSITION TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND SUSTAINABLE HOUSING. OUR PROGRAMS RANGE FROM ONE-TIME RENTAL ASSISTANCE TO LONG-TERM PERMANENT HOUSING PROGRAMS. OUR PROGRAMS RELY ON A SELF-SUFFICIENCY MODEL WHERE PARTICIPANTS ARE ASSISTED TO FIND DURABLE SOLUTIONS THROUGH EMPLOYMENT AND OTHER SUPPORTS TO TRANSITION THEM TO A MORE STABLE LIVELIHOOD. DURING 2020, WE FOCUSED ON RAISING ON AND DISTRIBUTING PRIVATE FUNDS TO ASSIST RESIDENTS OF THE AREA WHO DID NOT QULIFY FOR GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE VIA THE CARES ACT OR TRADITIONAL PROGRAMS.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY/CHILDREN'S LEARNING CENTER - WE ARE BUILDING A FOUNDATION OF LEARNING FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN. WE HELP ADULT LEARNERS TO INCREASE VOCATIONAL POTENTIAL AND SELF-ESTEEM AND PROVIDE A POSITIVE AND NURTURING EDUCATIONAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. DURING 2020, WE MOVED OUR ADULT EDUCATION ON-LINE TO PREVENT A MAJORITY OF STUDENTS FROM LOSING EDUCATIONAL PROGRESS DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. WE ALSO WORKED TO MAINTAIN CHILDCARE SERVICES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND OPENED A PRE-K PROGRAM IN THE CHILDREN'S LEARNING CENTER.
