THESE EDUCATION PROGRAMS USE OUTDOOR,EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING TO TEACH SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING ANDMATH (STEM), AND SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING COMPETENCIES. STUDENTS RECEIVED FULL DAYS AND EVENINGS OF HANDS-ON, ENGAGING INSTRUCTION DURING WHICH THEY OBSERVE THE ENVIRONMENT AND ECOLOGY, COLLECT AND ANALYZE SAMPLES, LEARN THE IMPORTANCE OF ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP AND WORK COLLABORATIVELY TO SOLVE SCIENCE PROBLEMS. 90% OF STUDENTS IN THE OOL PROGRAM DEMONSTRATED IMPROVEMENTS IN THE STATE SCIENCE STANDARDS.COMMUNITY PROGRAMS: OVER EVENINGS, SUMMERS AND WEEKENDS, SNJ FACILITATES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS' PROGRAMS FOR OVER 30,000 CHILDREN TO INCREASE ACCESSIBILITY TO OUTDOOR AND STEM LEARNING. PARTNERS RANGE ACROSS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FAMILY STEM NIGHTS, CAMPS FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, TEEN LEADERSHIP CAMPS, AND OTHER COMMUNITY FOCUSED ORGANIZATIONS. EXAMPLES INCLUDE THE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION, ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARDS, AND THE CALIFORNIA ENDOWMENT'S ALL OUR SONS AND BROTHERS AND SISTERHOOD RISING CAMPS.

CLASSROOMS UNLEASHED (CU) IS FOCUSED ON 1ST-6TH GRADE STUDENTS INNORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND NEVADA. CU PROGRAMS BLEND INNOVATIVE CLASSROOMSCIENCE EDUCATION WITH PRACTICAL, INTERACTIVE FIELD STUDY TO BUILD STEMSKILLS AND CONTENT KNOWLEDGE. SNJ'S CREDENTIALED SCIENCE TEACHERSDELIVER 4 LESSON UNITS THAT INCLUDE 1 FIELD SCIENCE EXPERIENCE.STUDENTS WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND AS GROUPS TO MAKE OBSERVATIONS, ANALYZEDATA, AND RECORD CONCLUSIONS IN THEIR SCIENCE NOTEBOOKS. CURRICULUM ISDESIGNED TO DIRECTLY ADDRESS STATE SCIENCE STANDARDS AND ELICITS FROMSTUDENTS A HIGH LEVEL OF CURIOSITY, ENGAGEMENT, AND ENTHUSIASM FORSCIENCE LEARNING. 13,097 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN CU PROGRAMS IN 2019,AND OVER 90% DEMONSTRATED IMPROVEMENT IN STATE SCIENCE STANDARDS.
