Organizations Filed Purposes: Through the development and administration of its philanthropic activities, Rhode Island Hospital Foundation (RIHF) is able to transfer funds raised to Rhode Island Hospital (RIH) to support its mission and purposes, which in turn benefits the Rhode Island community. RIHF provided philanthropic support to various programs at Hasbro Children's Hospital (HCH), the pediatric division of RIH. Noteworthy in fiscal year 2019, the Foundation transferred the following to HCH programs: (1) $5,127,885 from the "Every Child, Every Day Campaign", a $35,000,000 campaign to modernize HCH and grow essential programs and research endeavors vital to children and their families; (Continued in Schedule O)

During fiscal year 2019 RIHF made transfers of $1,137,692 to support research related to the investigation of the role of epigenetics in adult malignant glioma at RIH. Other significant philanthropic transfers to RIH are as follows: (1) $688,268 to RIH to provide resources to support critical components necessary to create an environment to treat and unravel mysteries of the brain and nervous system; (2) $214,730 to support treatment of the poor/indigent;(3) $202,751 to be used within the field of Brain Science Research at RIH, including support of the Brain Tissue Resource Center and the Norman Prince Neurosciences Institute; (4) $160,000 to RIH to support the development and implementation of a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders in the medically ill.

RIHF provided $433,271 to The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in fiscal year 2019 in support of shared chairs in cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics, urology, emergency medicine, and oncology.
