EVENT EXPENSES: EXPENSES FROM PUTTING ON SPECIAL EVENTS AND PROGRAMS IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA IN ORDER TO ATTRACT VISITORS AND RESIDENTS AND BRING MORE BUSINESSES DOWNTOWN, SUCH AS NOONTUNES, A 10 WEEK MIDDAY CONCERT SERIES IN THE FALL TO SHOWCASE THE WIDE VARIETY OF MUSICIANS AND GENRES OF MUSIC YOU CAN ENJOY IN THE SCENIC CITY. INTERNATIONAL PLACEMAKING WEEK BRINGING 600 PARTICIPANTS FOR WORKSHOPS, TOURS, AND NETWORKING EVENTS. OTHER EVENTS INCLUDE; CITY SWEAT, YOGA FOR KIDS,START UP WEEK, START UP WEEK BASE CAMP, PASSAGEWAYS ANIMATION, MILLER PARK ANIMATION, DOWNTOWN SNOWFLAKE LIGHTING, HOLIDAY MARKET, AND BANNER PROGRAM.

ONE RIVERFONT PLAN: A RIVERFRONT DISTRICT MASTER PLAN TO REFOCUS AND REENERGIZE THE DISTRICT WITH WIDE SPREAD COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT TO CREATE A PLACE THAT SERVES ALL CHATTANOOGANS; TO DEVELOP A GREATER SENSE OF PLACE THROUGH UNIQUE DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC REALM IMPROVEMENTS; AND TO USE PLACEMAKING AND BRANDING STRATEGIES TO DRAW LOCALS AND TOURISTS YEAR ROUND.

PATTEN PARKWAY REDEVELOPMENT: THE REDEVELOPMENT OF PATTEN PARKWAY TO COMPLETE THE MILLER PARK DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT, WITH BRICK PAVERS, PARKING, TREES, SEATING, AND PUBLIC ART TO BETTER SUPPORT EVERYDAY USE ALONG THE PARKWAY IN ADDITION TO FESTIVALS, CONCERTS, AND OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS.
