MA After School Boys and Girls Club of East Texas provides fun, high-quality, and enriching after school care for children in elementary and middle school. Our program is uniquely designed to give students a safe place to play, learn, and grow while fostering encouraging relationships with caring role models. We measure our success through five priority outcomes that we desire to see in the lives of children we serve: vibrant faith, strong character, academic success, emotional resilience, and life readiness. In FY 2019-2020 we had 21 sites that served students from 27 schools. A total of 1695 children were served. Spring of 2020 also provided a unique opportunity to serve the children in our community while school, and thus our afterschool program was shut down for COVID-19. Our staff was mobilized into thecommunity to serve lunches at meal sites, hand deliver meals and educational packets to families unable to obtain them elsewhere, serve at other local non profits working to get food and supplies to at risk members of our community, make weekly phone calls to our families to check on them, pray with them, and connect them to any resources they were in need of, and produced MATV, a fun and educational youtube channel available to the public. In total, during the weeks of after-school shutdown, after school staff served 71,096 meals through TISD, passed out 4,819 food boxes for other local non profits, and distributed 3,252 TISD academic packets.

MA Summer Camps, in partnership with the Tyler Independent School District, are action packed, Christian Summer day camps taking place in local schools throughout east Texas. MA Summer Camps combine incredible activities, academic leaning, Bible Study, and mentorship for a summer that will engage and empower kids. In FY 19-20, we had four locations serving a total of 941 Children.

Mentor Connect Pairs Godly people from Local churches with students from local schools in mutually transforming mentoring relationships. Mentors walk alongside children and their families to help young people discover and live out Gods purpose for their lives. In FY 19-20, we had 288 mentoring relationships.
