Organizations Filed Purposes: The Foundation is committed to supporting the efforts of Swedish Health Services in advancing health care in the region and meeting the health care needs of the community.

Women and Infants: Lytle Center - Nearly 10,000 babies are born each year at Swedish. Providing the highest level of care, resources and education is imperative to helping families successfully navigate the experience of becoming a parent and caring for their new baby. Parents and caregivers face challenging issues such as shortened maternity stays, less family support, and higher financial demands. Helping families remain stable during pregnancy and the early months of a baby's life can have dramatic and lifelong effects on children. To address these needs, Swedish celebrated the opening of the Lytle Center for Pregnancy and Newborns in July of 2013. The Center's purpose is to provide care and support services to help families during the months before and after a baby is born. Our goal is to help parents be successful and confident caregivers, preparing them for the birth of a new child and helping them cope with the abrupt transition from high-tech, around-the-clock care to being at home alone with a newborn. The Center is open to all members of the community. It was constructed in a 5,400 square-foot, ground-level space on Swedish's First Hill campus, where it is easily accessible from the hospital's South Entrance. The Center was funded through $3.5 million in philanthropic support from the community and serves more than 1,000 people per month.

Cancer Institute: The True Family Women's Cancer Center (TFWCC) at Swedish Cancer Institute opened its doors to patients in June 2012, providing women with a single resource for all of the specialists, skills, tools and support needed to guide them from early diagnosis through survivorship. TFWCC supports women as they learn to cope and navigate through the complexities of the care system while also giving them the best possible chance for beating cancer. The True Center was built thanks to more than 2,500 private donations totaling $11 million, making the Center a gift from the community to the community. Improved access and navigation has meant that more patients are able to benefit from the True Center and receive the comprehensive care they need. In the short time since opening in June 2012, there have been more than 18,000 patient visits to TFWCC. Through the True Family Women's Cancer Center, Swedish Cancer Institute caregivers have: (a) Seen over 8,800 medical oncology patient visits, (b) Conducted over 4,700 surgery clinic visits, (c) Provided 3,775 social work encounters and 457 psychiatry visits, (d) Performed over 1,200 imaging procedures, (e) Provided over 2,800 integrated care visits, including genetic counseling, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine and American Cancer Society navigation visits, and (f) Provided care for over 475 new cancer patients.
