Organizations Filed Purposes: TO ADVANCE A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS CLIMATE BY ATTENDING TO THE CIVIC, ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL BETTERMENT OF OUR COMMUNITY. WE ACHIEVE THIS THROUGH THREE CHANNELS: ADVOCACY, CONNECTIVITY, AND EDUCATION.

EVENTS: BY PROVIDING SEVERAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION SEMINARS SUCH AS: "MAKE IT MONDAY" LUNCHEONS, HELD EVERY MONDAY AND IS THE CITY'S NO.1 WEEKLY LUNCHEON, OFFERING CURRENT AND RELEVANT EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS FROM A VARIETY OF SPEAKERS. MORE THAN 45 PROGRAMS ARE PROVIDED ANNUALLY WITH THE NUMBER OF ATTENDEES AVERAGING UP TO 150 PER WEEK. "CHAMBER ACADEMY", AN EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR HELD THE 2ND WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH. GEARED TOWARDS BUSINESS OWNERS, ENTREPRENEURS, AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS, THE ACADEMY HOSTS COMMUNITY EXPERTS WHO PRESENT ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS.

MEMBERSHIP SERVICES: MEMBERSHIP WITH THE ANCHORAGE CHAMBER ENCOMPASSES THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION STATEMENT BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO THE KEY CHANNELS OF CONNECTIVITY AND ADVOCACY. THE MANY BENEFITS OF BEING A CHAMBER MEMBER INCLUDE: CONNECTIVITY - THROUGH NETWORKING EVENTS, MEMBER REFERRALS, ADVERTISING, MEMBER CREDIBILITY AND NEW MEMBER SPOTLIGHTS; ADVOCACY - THROUGH WEEKLY MEMBER UPDATES OF LOCAL, STATE, AND REGIONAL ISSUES AND ABILITY TO DIRECTLY IMPACT LOCAL AND STATE ISSUES VIA COMMITTEE INVOLVEMENT.

COMMITTEES: BY PROVIDING SEVERAL VENUES FOR RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE IN BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT OF ANCHORAGE BUSINESSES SUCH AS: "GOLD PAN AWARDS", ONE OF THE ORGANIZATION'S LONGEST RUNNING CIVIC PROGRAMS, ESTABLISHED IN 1957 AS ANCHORAGE'S NO. 1 PREMIER BUSINESS AWARDS EVENT. FOR 59 YEARS, GOLD PANS HAVE BEEN AWARDED TO THOSE THAT HAVE SHOWN BUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURIAL EXCELLENCE, AS WELL AS A LOYAL COMMITMENT TO ANCHORAGE THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICE. "ANCHORAGE ATHENA SOCIETY", A PROGRAM THAT WORKS YEAR ROUND TO ENCOURAGE THE POTENTIAL OF ALL WOMEN AS VALUED MEMBERS AND LEADERS OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY. THE SOCIETY HAS OVER 230 INDUCTEES AND MORE THAN 450 GUESTS ATTENDED THE 22ND ANNUAL LUNCHEON WHERE 11 NEW MEMBERS WERE INDUCTED. THE LUNCHEON ALSO RAISES MONEY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS TO BUSINESS OR ENTREPRENEUR CAMPS.
