Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of Native Conservancy is to support Indigenous people's efforts to preserve, repatriate and restore ancestral lands through the establishment of Indigenous land conservation trusts on scarred lands and waters that are inherent to the protection and preservation of sovereignty, subsistence, spirituality and Native culture .

Native Conservancy's vision is to create resilient futures for Indigenous peoples by preserving, repatriating and restoring ancestral homelands, traditional food sources and subsistence practices to revitalize Native culture, habitat, health and spirituality.

RESTORATIVE OCEAN FARMING: Our Native Conservancy kelp enhancement program conducted research on mitigation-based knowledge that kelp can help restore ocean ecosystems. This program integrates local and traditional knowledge with science to revitalize injured habitat that is desperately in need of restoration. Restorative ocean farming will support new farmers to succeed for a just transition to this new regenerative economy.

FOOD SOVEREIGNTY & CULTURAL PATHWAYS: Traditional Native harvesting and salmon spawning habitat are suffering from habitat degradation, over-extraction, and now, climate change, ocean acidification, ocean warming, ocean rise, and uncontrollable fish hatchery development. Restoring habitat is a critical first step to community resilience and food security in these climate changing times and for native sovereignty. The program promotes conservation that preserves the rights of thousands of generations of Native stewardship and secures Indigenous land fee titles, Native Rights, and permanent protection in the form of Native-led conservation and cultural easements.

FOOD PRESERVATION - COMMUNITY COLD STORAGE: Coastal and Indigenous communities are among the first and most severely impacted by climate change, ocean acidification, marine heatwaves and the loss of wild food sources. Our Remote Processing and Cold Storage Program worked to help subsistence rural-based communities that want to grow, harvest or process their traditional food sources. It serves as a replicable food security model catalyzing renewable economies that incorporate state-of-the-art technologies for food processing and cold storage.
