Organizations Filed Purposes:
Perseverance theatre's mission is to create professional theatre by and for Alaskans. We value community engagement, cross-cultural collaboration, professional rigor, and regional voice.
The Organization produced a four play season in both Juneau and Anchorage, including a world premier by an Alaska native playwright in addition to beloved classics like a Christmas Carol, and modern shows like silent sky education programs were offered in both cities with Juneau programs including the summer theatre arts rendezvous (star). A spring break camp took place in Anchorage, and virtually in Juneau. Three interns were with the organization throughout the season working and learning in a variety of departments. Perseverance continues to have playwrights under commission and to staff multiple full time artists as actors, playwrights, directors, and producers.
