Organizations Filed Purposes:
The camp provides a wilderness camping environment for individuals, families and organizations to further nature experiences. The camp board sponsors yearly camps for SE Alaska youth which provide outdoor and spiritual experiences for the youth.
Manage a regional camping site for SE Alaska residents and provide camping programs for SE Alaska youth as part of the outdoor ministries of the Alaska Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Normally the camp facilities are rented to SE Alaska non profit organizations, school groups and families for camping and wilderness experiences. In 2020 due to Covid-19 the camp was rented only to individual immediate families.
'Camp Champ' is, by referral only, a collaboration between Eagle River UMC and Juneau School District. It is normally run each year for approximately 30 Children. This camp is normally our largest source of income, however in year 2020 this camp was not run due to Covid-19. The revenue of $2,500.00 listed here was a donation to operate Camp Champ, since the camp was cancelled we are holding this money for next year.
'Discovery Camp' for children 3rd to 8th grade. This year it was not run due to Covid-19. The $1,000.00 which was donated to operate Discovery Camp will be used for next years camp.
