INFUSION SERVICES INCLUDE CHEMOTHERAPY, COMPLEX BIOLOGICALS, BLOOD PRODUCTS, ANTIEMETICS, ANTIBIOTICS, ANALGESICS, IMMUNOTHERPAY, INJECTABLE MEDICATIONS, AND INVESTIGATIONAL THERAPIES.
OPERATING ROOM - THE OPERATING ROOM PERFORMED 5,932 SURGERIES. THE INPATIENT OPERATING ROOM IS USED WHEN A PATIENT IS ALREADY ADMITTED, OR THE PATIENT REQUIRES MONITORING AFTER THE PROCEDURE. ROBOTIC-ASSISTED SURGERY IS ALSO PERFORMED IN THE INPATIENT OPERATING ROOM.
SURGERY CENTER - THE OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER PERFORMED 5,670 CASES. OUTPATIENT SURGERY PROCEDURES INCLUDE LUNG SURGERY, GASTRIC SLEEVE, GASTROINTESTINAL, COLERECTAL, LAP-BAND AND BALLOON WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY, PLASTIC SURGERY, LUNG, MOTION PRESERVATION, AORTIC, GYNECOLOGIC, HEART, VASCULAR, AND HERNIA REPAIR. MERCY ALSO OFFERS ROBOTIC SURGERY ON MANY PROCEDURES. UNLIKE OPEN SURGERIES THAT REQUIRE LARGE INCISIONS, ROBOTIC-ASSISTED PROCEDURES USE A NUMBER OF SMALL INCISICIONS. THIS OFTEN MEANS SHORTER HOSPITAL STAYS, LESS PAIN, AND FEWER COMPLICATIONS. AREAS OF THE BODY THAT CAN BE TREATED WITH ROBOTIC-ASSISTED SURGERY INCLUDE CHEST AND LUNG, COLON AND RECTUM, GYNECOLOGIC REGION, HEART, MOUTH AND THROAT, AND PROSTATE AND UROLOGIC REGION.
