Organizations Filed Purposes: TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP THE GROWTH OF TENNIS AS AN INCLUSIVE AND INVITING LIFETIME ACTIVITY IN THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SECTION.

USTA NORCAL LEAGUE TENNIS IS PART OF THE COUNTRY'S LARGEST RECREATIONAL TENNIS LEAGUE, PROVIDING ORGANIZED AND STRUCTURED TEAM MATCHES FOR MORE THAN 20,331 MEN AND WOMEN RESULTING IN MORE THAN 78,250 REGISTRATIONS OF ALL ABILITY LEVELS IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. THE NORCAL LEAGUE TENNIS PROGRAM HAS THE 3RD HIGHEST PARTICIPATION LEVEL AMONG ALL THE 17 USTA SECTIONS.

THE MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE JUNIORS PROGRAM INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED, TO A FULL INTRODUCTION OF PLAYERS AGED 18 AND UNDER INTO THE SECTION AND AN INCREASE OF AVAILABILITY IN QUALITY SANCTIONED JUNIOR TOURNAMENTS IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WITH OVER 120 TOURNAMENTS THAT ALLOW OPPORTUNITIES FOR OVER 11,373 YOUTHS TO COMPETE IN A STRUCTURED SETTING. JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS PROVIDES CHILDREN THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN TENNIS WITH A TEAM EMPHASIS AND IN PLAYER DEVELOPMENT, MANY OF THE TOP PLAYERS HAVE EARNED SIGNIFICANTLY HIGH NATIONAL RANKINGS AND HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR ADDITIONAL TRAINING AND PLAYING OPPORTUNITIES THAT ARE ORGANIZED BY THE USTA NATIONAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT TEAM.

MARKETING AND DIVERSITY & INCLUSION OUTREACH ACTIVITIES OF THE ORGANIZATION PROMOTE AND DEVELOP THE GROWTH OF TENNIS BY DEVELOPING STRATEGIES AND EXECUTING EFFORTS TO ATTRACT AND RETAIN MEMBERS AND PARTICIPANTS, AS WELL AS TO ACHIEVE GREATER DIVERSITY WITHIN THE SECTION (AND IN DOING SO, PROMOTE TENNIS AS AN ALL-INCLUSIVE SPORT THAT WELCOMES ALL). THESE ACTIVITIES INCREASE AWARENESS OF AND THE EASE OF ENTRY INTO JUNIORS AND ADULTS PROGRAMS. MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN 2019 INCLUDE THE "LOVE YOUR FIT" MARKETING CAMPAIGN WHICH TARGETS MILLENNIALS AND YOUNG FAMILIES IN DESIGNATED AREAS AS WELL AS THE OFFERING OF FOUR ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE MULTICULTURAL PARTICIPATION AMONG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ENTERING COLLEGE.
