Saving lives by empowering survivors and educating communities to stand up to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Stand Up Placer provides services to Placer County survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking and their non-offending family members, and offer community education around domestic/sexual violence and human trafficking to companies, agencies and schools. We have provided services to survivors since 1978, and offer victims fleeing life-threatening abuse the only confidential safe house in Placer County. Our comprehensive array of services are designed to allow survivors to rebuild their lives from a place of safety. In 2019 we offered 37,974 safe bed nights in the safe house and housing programs to survivors who were fleeing violence. More than 82,213 services including clinical therapy; crisis intervention by phone, in office, on-scene and in detention centers; legal assistance and advocacy; and emergency food and clothing assisted survivors to regain their agency and live self-determined lives.
