Organizations Filed Purposes: The organization was created as a supporting organization for the Western States Trail Foundation. Its main purpose is to manage the endowment fund for use in the charitable purposes of the Western States Trail, such as preservation and maintenance of the historic trail.

The Endowment received cash pledges for "adopt a mileX or partial miles in the Adopt-The-trail program of $19,502. Receivables are analyzed periodically for collectibility. There were no receivables as of year-end. Investment activity consisted of purchasing $1,049,010 of securities and selling $1,005,518 of various securities resulting in a net gain of $8,320.
