Organizations Filed Purposes: THE MISSION OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA IS TO PREPARE YOUNG PEOPLE TO MAKE ETHICAL AND MORAL CHOICES OVER THEIR LIFETIMES BY INSTILLING IN THEM THE VALUES OF THE SCOUT OATH AND LAW.

THE CORPORATION SHALL PROMOTE, WITHIN THE TERRITORY COVERED BY THE CHARTER FROM TIME TO TIME GRANTED IT BY THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONGRESSIONAL CHARTER, BYLAWS, AND RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, THE SCOUTING PROGRAM OF PROMOTING THE ABILITY OF BOYS, YOUNG MEN, AND WOMEN TO DO THINGS FOR THEMSELVES AND OTHERS, TRAINING THEM IN SCOUTCRAFT, AND TEACHING THEM PATRIOTISM, COURAGE, SELF-RELIANCE, AND KINDRED VIRTUES, USING THE METHODS WHICH ARE NOW IN COMMON USE BY THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA.

BOY SCOUT SUMMER CAMP AT CAMP KERNBOY SCOUT SUMMER CAMP IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE SCOUTING YEAR. THE SCOUTS PLAN THEIR WEEK AT CAMP TO ALLOW FOR ACTIVITIES THAT MATCH THE INTERESTS AND ABILITIES OF THE SCOUTS. OLDER SCOUTS MAY PARTICIPATE IN HIGH-ADVENTURE PROGRAMS SUCH AS ROCK CLIMBING, RAPPELLING, AND WHITEWATER RAFTING. YOUNGER SCOUTS MAY ATTEND SUMMER CAMP AND LEARN TEAMWORK WITHIN THEIR PATROL AND TROOP. SUMMER CAMP BLENDS FUN PROGRAMS WITH ADVANCEMENT REQUIREMENTS TO REINFORCE SKILLS LEARNED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. IN SCOUTING, FITNESS IS FUN WITH A PURPOSE.

CUB SCOUT DAY CAMPCUB SCOUT DAY CAMP IS A VOLUNTEER BASED, FAMILY CENTERED PROGRAM RUN UNDER THE DIRECTION OF VOLUNTEER CAMP & PROGRAM DIRECTORS. EACH YEAR A THEME IS PROVIDED BY OUR NATIONAL ORGANIZATION TO PROVIDE VALUES BASED, FUN ACTIVITIES WHERE BOYS CAN ESTABLISH NEW FRIENDSHIPS, LEARN CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND OTHER LIFE SKILLS. CUB SCOUT DAY CAMP IS FOR BOYS, AGES 6 TO 10 YEARS OF AGE. IN 2015 THE PROGRAM RAN FOR 4 WEEKS AT 4 SITES THROUGHOUT OUR JURISDICTION. THE BENEFITS OF SCOUTING EVENTS TO THE COMMUNITY GO BEYOND THIS ONE WEEK OUTDOOR EVENT AND LEAVE A LASTING IMPRESSION ON THE YOUTH INVOLVED.

BOY SCOUT CAMPORALL CAMPORALL IS ONE OF MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG MEN TO HELP PLAN AND PARTICIPATE IN RUGGED OUTDOOR ADVENTURES. THE TROOP IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS CAMP SITE AND COOKING WHILE CAMPING FOR A WEEKEND. THE TROOPS PARTICIPATE IN COMPETETIVE CHALLENGES THAT TEST THEIR SKILLS AND TEACH NEW ONES.
