The mission is to bring together librarians, library staff, students, educators, trustees and advocates throughout the country who serve communities of color and to support the organization, planning, promotions, presentation and evaluations of conferences, programs and events on a regular basis, in collaborative partnerships with five other ethnic affiliates. JCLC has accomplished its mission by having a very successful conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
