Organizations Filed Purposes:
To preserve and promote public awareness and understanding of folk cultures and traditions in the music, dance, and spoken word, artistic disciplines.
Dance concerts were presented througout the year. A wide variety of folk, ethic, and vernacular music and dance broups wee presented. Approximately 32,828 visitores attended these concerts, The proceeds from ticket sales and the sale of driks, refreshments and merchnadise provided the revenue to cover the expense of producing the concerts.
Vernacular Dance Forms is the second main program offered by Ashkenaz. In this program, studio space in Ashkenazs facility is rented to professional dance instructors to teach and practice their craft. Additionally, Ashkenaz hires dance teachers to teach the vernacular dance of the music concerts it offers, usually in the hour before the related concert begins.
Private Party Rentals. The facitity was rented throught out the year for private parties.
