Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of Authors Alliance is to advance the interests of authors who want to serve the public good by sharing their creations broadly. We create resources to help authors understand and enjoy their rights and promote policies that make knowledge and culture available and discoverable.

Advocacy for Public Interest Authors: represented community of public interest authors in policymaking, kept community abreast of public policy issues affecting the dissemination and preservation of knowledge, researched public policy issues affecting public interest authors and published findings online.
Community Outreach and Support: provided answers to community member questions about publishing models and contracts, fair use, and termination of transfer; hosted workshops for authors on copyright law and publishing contracts; developed internal research to further our ability to support community of authors working in the public interest.
