Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide the Bay Area with counseling and psychiatric treatment services, Berkeley Therapy Institute (BTI) is a licensed nonprofit community mental health clinic, and has been serving the Bay Area since 1972.
BTI provides psychotherapy for individuals of all ages, as well as for couples, families, and groups. The diversityof our professional disciplines alows BTI to offer a uniquely comprehensive range of mental health.Professional services offered at BTI include outpatient psychotherapy; psychological and neuropsychological testing and assessment; professional consultations with attorneys, businesses and community agencies; and psychiatric treatment and medication consultation.
BTI serves as a training site for clinical psychology interns. The current program is a two-year program providing training, supervision, and director for interns selected from PhD programs throughout the Bay Area, leading to state licenses in clinical psychology. This program allows BTI to offer low cost services, including low cost psychiatric services to community members who are currently receiving psychological treatment from interns.
