IT ALSO WORKS DIRECTLY WITH COUNTY AND OTHER LOCAL GOVERNMENTS TO TRANSFORM HOW THEY DESIGN AND EXECUTE COST-EFFECTIVE APPROACHES TO SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVE RESULTS FOR CALIFORNIANS INVOLVED IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE, SOCIAL SERVICE, MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE SYSTEMS.CA FWD HAS PARTNERSHIPS WITH MERCED AND SAN BERNARDINO COUNTIES, WHERE A DETAILED ANALYSIS OF THE JAIL POPULATION HAS INFORMED AND INSPIRED A NUMBER OF INITIATIVES TO IMPROVE SERVICES TO REDUCED UNNECESSARY INCARCERATION AND RECIDIVISM.CA FWD, AS THE MANAGING PARTNER OF THE CA ECONOMIC SUMMIT, ORGANIZED WORK GROUPS AND REGIONAL COLLABORATION THAT CULMINATED IN THE 2019 CALIFORNIA ECONOMIC SUMMIT, CONTINUING THE COMPREHENSIVE ROADMAP TO SHARED PROSPERITY. THE PLAN OUTLINES 2020 PRIORITY ACTIVITIES FOCUSED ON HOUSING, CONNECTIVITY, LIFELONG LEARNING, ECOSYSTEM VITALITY PROSPEROUS ECONOMIES. STATE LAWMAKERS AND EXECUTIVE BRANCH LEADERS ARE INVOLVED IN MANY ASPECTS OF THE SUMMIT TO UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN EFFECTIVELY SUPPORT JOB CREATION, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND BETTER MANAGEMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES.
