Organizations Filed Purposes:
To bring together children from different socioeconomic backgrounds to grow and work in harmony and cooperation and to work toward all of Dr. Maria Montessori's concepts, especially that of peace through education.
Nia House continued to meet its mission for yet another year. The school offered full-day, year-round quality early childhood education to 84 children at a time during typical operations, and approximately 104 over the course of the fiscal year. Nia House offered financial aid to 42% of the student body. The school connected virtually with parents and children during the state mandated shelter in place, with daily meetings for children and weekly group parent educational meetings. Teachers delivered materials and lessons to children's homes and offered 1 to 1 parent support during the 3-month school closure with resources of all types. Nia House also connected families to resources outside of the school, as needed, through individual board of director outreach, teacher outreach and more generally though our school's blog postings and emails.
