The Galileo Foundation USA raises money to combat human trafficking. We actively work with all major Christian denominations such as the Roman Catholic Church and major Protestant groups.
This was the first year of operation. We applied for 501 (c) (3) status in April of 2019. We did not receive it until January 16, 2020. Consequently, we were not in operation. We were advised by telephone December 2019 by IRS Chief Counsel that the application for recognition of exemption was being approved retroactively to the March 2019.
