Organizations Filed Purposes: TO SUPPORT AND IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT ECOLOGY, CULTURE, AND EDUCATION

Maintain two field stations for education and research. First, supporting supporting the development of Rancho San Gregorio, an educational research site located in the high desert of Baja California, Mexico. Second, lease and maintain a field station research site in Bahia de Los Angeles, Mexico. Approximately 118 students, teachers and researchers utilized the facilities in 2019.

Develop, conduct, coordinate, and/or facilitate inquiry-based field studies in desert and marine ecosystems at two research facilities for universities and school groups. In 2019, 5 courses were conducted, serving a total of 85 higher-education students from Miami University.

Conduct citizen science research programs focused on whale shark data collection to be used in wider conservation efforts by partner organizations. In 2019, 98 citizen science researchers participated in programs.
