The VBAS, a 501c3 animal service agency, is devoted to providing medical, social, behavioral and financial care for animals at risk and determined to eliminate animal homelessness in the Burbank community.

MEDICAL PROGRAM Providing vaccinations, examinations and testing for disease for all animals that enter the shelter, ensuring pets are healthy before being adopted. VBAS volunteers assist the medical staff in the clinic, with routine examinations as well as pre- and post-surgery. The VBAS also funds special needs examinations and surgeries for animal residents.

KITTEN FOSTER PROGRAM Established in response to the overwhelming homeless kitten population in the Burbank area. Throughout the year, the shelter receives hundreds of kittens less than eight weeks old.Volunteers house kittens and provide essential care, feeding, socialization with humans and other animals and medical care.

ADOPTION SERVICES AND VOLUNTEER PROGRAM Partner to the Burbank Animal Shelter, and shelter staff. Working side-by-side since 1994 providing a helping hand to homeless pets in our community.
