Organizations Filed Purposes:
Associated Students of California State University Channel Islands, Inc. was organized to promote and assist education, administration and related services of the California State University, Channel Islands.
The Student Union serves to foster community and enhance student learning and development on the Channel Islands campus by providing exceptional services, supporting holistic programming, creating regular opportunities for staff development.
Clubs and Organizations - Student organizations must design and implement programs, events and activities which support and enrich the goals of CIs educational mission. Involvement in student organizations presents students with the opportunity to broaden their learning, obtain leadership and interpersonal skills, and develop a commitment to service. Student participation in clubs/organizations attracts new students to our campus and integrates them into our CI culture and traditions. Student clubs/organizations strengthen campus-community relations, improve inter-institutional communications, and facilitate students acquisition of skills.
Student Programming Board (SPB) provides an abundance of opportunities by providing a social outlet for students, helping students learn how to plan and coordinate events, and working with local businesses and organizations.
