The Carmel Foundation facilitates successful aging by providing a broad spectrum of interactive activities and services for the ever-changing physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of our members.
The Carmel Foundation's mission is to provide a place for seniors to gather and enjoy a variety of activities and services in an environment of respect and camaraderie, a place to call home.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES: OVER 50 INTERESTING CLASSES AND ACTIVITIES WEEKLY; DAY EXCURSIONS OUTSIDE OF THE MONTEREY-CARMEL AREA TO MUSEUMS, PLAYS AND SHOPPING; APPROXIMATELY 4,474 MEALS DELIVERED TO HOMEBOUND MEMBERS; FREE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOANS; AND MANY OTHER VITAL SERVICES INCLUDING SPECIAL EVENTS AND LECTURES.
SENIOR HOUSING PROGRAM: TO PROVIDE INDEPENDENT LIVING, LOW-INCOME HOUSING FOR MEMBERS OF THE CARMEL FOUNDATION WHO ARE AT LEAST 65 YEARS OLD. CURRENTLY 50 PEOPLE RESIDE IN THE HOUSING.
LUNCHEON: THE PROGRAM SERVES WELL-BALANCED, DISCOUNTED LUNCHES FOUR DAYS A WEEK. OVER 17,850 MEALS SERVED DURING THE YEAR.
