THE MISSION OF ENLOE HEALTH FOUNDATION IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGH MEANINGFUL GIVING AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ALL TO BENEFIT ENLOE MEDICAL CENTER AND THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE.
THE MISSION IS TO BENEFIT ENLOE MEDICAL CENTER AND THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE.
IN NOVEMBER 2018, THE COMMUNITY WAS GREATLY AFFECTED BY THE CAMP FIRE DEVASTATION. ACTION WAS QUICKLY TAKEN BY THE FOUNDATION TO LAUNCH A SIGNIFICANT GIVING CAMPAIGN. THE CAMP FIRE RELIEF CAMPAIGN AIMED TO SUPPORT CAMP FIRE VICTIMS. THE CAMPAIGN BROUGHT AN OUTBURST OF SUPPORT FROM THE COMMUNITY. THE DONATED FUNDS SUPPORTED ENLOE EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATED EMPLOYEES, MEDICAL STAFF, VOLUNTEERS AND PATIENTS WHO LOST THEIR HOME OR WERE DISPLACED.
THROUGHTOUT THE YEAR, SEVERAL INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE INITIATIVES SUPPORTED BY FOUNDATION FUNDS WERE COMPLETED: INCLUDING THE EXPANSION OF THE HOSPITALS MAIN PHARMACY, A COMPLETE CAFETERIA REMODEL, AND REUPHOLSTERY TO WAITING ROOM FURNITURE. INFRASTRUCTURE INITIATIVES OCCUR EVERY YEAR, THOUGH ARE OFTEN OVERSHADOWED BY HUGE CAMPAIGNS SUCH AS THE CARDIAC CANCER CENTER CAMPAIGN THAT HAS RAISED $5 MILLION TO DATE.
CANCER SUPPORTIVE FUNDS ARE DEDICATED TO ENSURE ACCESS TO CANCER SERVICES NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE, INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION COSTS, COMPRESSION GARMENTS, NUTRITIONAL EDUCAITON, NURSE NAVIGATOR SERVICES AND COMPLIMENTARY TREATMENTS AIMED AT REDUCING THE UNPLEASANT EFFECTS OF TREATMENT SUCH AS ACUPUNCTURE AND EXERCISE TRAINING. ADDITIONALLY, EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS DESIGNED TO AID IN THE PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF CANCER TREATMENT ARE FUNDED BY CHARITABLE DONORS WHO GIVE TO THE ENLOE CELEBRATION COMPASSION FUND. THESE MATERIALS FOCUS ON JOURNALING TECHNIQUES, HEALING ART AND GRIEF MANAGEMENT.
