Organizations Filed Purposes: River Partners' mission is to create wildlife habitat for the benefit of people and the environment. Since 1998, the organization has realized this mission by designing and restoring floodplain habitats along the major rivers of California. This type of work includes on-the-ground implementation, environmental planning and consultation, project development, land management and acquisition, research, and education.

Performed environmental planning, management, maintenance, and design projects with partners such as TRLIA, SAFCA, USFWS, the San Joaquin River Partnership, Bureau of Reclamation, San Joaquin River Conservancy, CA Dept. of Fish and Game, Kern River Corridor Endowment and Holding Co., Wildlife Conservation Board, and the Department of Water Resources.Initiated the acquisition of floodplain land for conservation; 25 acres on the Sacramento River and 285 acres on the San Joaquin River.Continued work on thousands of acres of restoration on the Otay River, San Joaquin River, Stanislaus River, Tuolumne River, Sacramento River, Kern River, and the larger Feather River watershed. The endangered species, Least Bell's Vireo was documented at the Otay Delta Restoration site this year in the remnant vegitation along the riverbank.We also participated in multiple public forums at schools, conferences, festivals, etc., and gave presentations regarding riparian restoration.
