WE ARE DEDICATED TO GIVING COMPASSION AND PRACTICAL ASSISTANCE TO WOMEN EXPERIENCING UNPLANNED PREGNANCIES, PROVIDING ACCURATE INFORMATION ABOUT THE REALITIES AND POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES OF ABORTION AND OFFERING HELP HOPE AND HEALING THROUGH PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST.
We provide financial support to two international pregnancy resource ministries. One of those ministries is located in Russia, and the other is in Zambia. The ministry in Volgograd, Russia offers parenting classes and support at a large Baptist Church. They also help pregnant and parenting mothers with food and clothing. We communicate with them via email regularly to be sure theyre keeping to the mission/vision of Silent Voices. The center in Zambia has expanded, and the Director of that center has helped open other facilities all over the African continent. We support her work as much as possible. She was able to come to San Diego last year and give us an update and report of her work.
We offer women free pregnancy tests. In 2019 we had 55 women come in for the free test. All of these were encouraged to participate in our Bridges to Motherhood program. This program allows women to earn Mommy Dollars that can be used in our market for things like diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, bedding and personal care items such as shampoo, deodorant, lotion, toothpaste, and food. The women in the program learn parenting/life skills, participate in Bible studies and are exposed to other resources in the community that may benefit them or their children. One-on-one peer counseling is also available. We offer every client a free Bible and information on how they can have a personal relationship with God. We also offer one-on-one parenting classes to men who have been court ordered into classes. We provided After Abortion Healing & Recovery support to five women in 2019
We provided Natural Family Planning instruction to 10 couples. There were two classes/couple, with follow up for as long as the couples needed assistance tracking their fertility. We are currently tracking 6 women weekly using an online charting service, and as needed by phone/email.
