Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide free immigration legal services workshops that assist individuals with application assistance and attorney consultations.
CVIIC organized 50 free immigration legal services workshops in conjunction with nonprofit legal services providers, serving 1,349 clients with application assistance and attorney consultations. Our in-person community education activities served 5,372 people. Our social media campaigns reached 374,232 people. Our text messaging program served 5,300 subscribers with 2-3 texts per week. CVIIC organized 1-3 free technical training opportunities per month for representatives of partner organizations.
CVIIC led regional efforts to engage and prepare nonprofit and public sector agencies in the 2020 Census process, providing technical support, sharing of potential funding opportunities, providing policy updates and promoting regional coordination and collaboration. CVIIC created and managed 6 local listservs with over 500 subscribers from nonprofit and public sector agencies. Activities included a 3-part communications strategy training, regional convenings drawing representatives from 8 Central Counties.
