The mission of CCSLS is to protect the rights of seniors. By providing legal services, the organization is also able to mediate poverty and improve health outcomes for the population it serves. (continued on top of Page 2)
Contra Costa Senior Legal Services ("CCSLS") offers numerous programs designed to serve elders in the community, as summarized below. Education & Trainings---------------------CCSLS provides educational presentations on topics such as elder abuse, identity theft and legal documents.Elder Abuse Prevention Project------------------------------EAPP protects seniors from many forms of abuse including physical, psychological, emotional and financial.
Resident Empowerment Program----------------------------REP provides screening, education and legal counsel to residents of Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE).Homeownership Protection for Elders-----------------------------------This initiative protects seniors from losing their homes and/or equity due to debt, scams, and elder abuse.
