NAMI Contra Costa is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing outreach, education, support and advocacy to families and individuals in need of help dealing with mental illness. We have been assisting people and families affected by mental illness in Contra Costa for over 30 years. All our programs are free, so get involved today and help make a difference in your life, others' lives, and in the local community.NAMI Contra Costa is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. We are unique in our independence with long history of helping families/loved of those affected by mental illness along with individuals living with mental illness.It provides Education of community relating to mental illness and also promotes the general welfare of mentally ill having housing and other needs.

National Alliance on Mental Illness of Contra Costa County (NAMI CC) had secured funding from Contra Costa County Behavioral Health Services to implement a county wide program to advocate for the mentally ill and those caring for them. We then renewed the contract for the FY 2018-2019 and has since become a major program to recruit volunteer to help build more support for Contra Costa County. NAMI CC also hired a full-time Executive Director to help focus the companies fundraising and streamline and emphasize all programs. NAMI CC had also underwent a stringent re-affiliated process with NAMI National which has been accepted. Lastly, NAMI CC has also grown from a staff of 3 to 9 paid employees and continue to grow.
