Organizations Filed Purposes: THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO BE A MAJOR SOURCE OF COMPASSION, INFORMATION, AND EMERGENCY SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE IN THE CORONA-NORCO COMMUNITY FACING PERSONAL CRISES THAT THREATEN THEIR STABILITY, SAFETY, AND HEALTH.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION: PROVIDED FOOD & SUNDRY ITEMS TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS THROUGH THE USE OF A FOOD PANTRY. THE PANTRY IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AND PROVIDES BAGGED GROCERIES TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE COOKING FACILITIES. DURING 2019, 2,258 FAMILIES WERE SERVED. CLIENTS MAY RECEIVE GROCERIES ONCE PER MONTH. A BAGGED LUNCH PROGRAM IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR THE HOMELESS, WHICH PROVIDED OVER 15,717 POUNDS OF FOOD. OVERALL FOR THE 2019 YEAR APPROXIMATELY 14,367 IDIVIDUALS WERE PROVIDED WITH FOOD.

THRIFT STORE: PROVIDED LOW PRICED AND FREE CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS. THE THRIFT STORE ALSO PROVIDED CLOTHING ONCE A WEEK TO HOMELESS. SHOES, JACKETS, BACKPACKS, BLANKETS, AND HYGIENE KITS ARE ALSO GIVEN TO THE HOMELESS AS NEEDED. SCHOOL CHILDREN REFERRED TO THE SETTLEMENT HOUSE BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT ARE GIVEN OUTFITS OF CLOTHING FROM THE THRIFT STORE FOR SCHOOL.

OTHER PROGRAMS, INCLUDED RENT/MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE, UTILITY ASSISTANCE, BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM PROVIDING CLOTHES/SUPPLIES FOR CHILDREN IN NEED, AS WELL AS OTHER MISC. PROGRAMS THAT OFFER ASSISTANCE (MOTEL VOUCHERS, PRESCRIPTIONS, FURNITURE, DIAPERS, DENTAL CARE, HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE (ADOPT A FAMILY) AND OTHER URGENT NEEDS). FOR YEAR 2019, 2 FAMILIES WERE PROVIDED WITH RENT ASSISTANCE, 2 PEOPLE WERE PROVIDED WITH DENTAL CARE, 1,694 PACKS OF DIAPERS WERE GIVEN, 25 MOTEL VOUCHERS WERE GIVEN, WITH AN ADDITIONAL $3,055 SPENT ON MOTELS, 5 FAMILIES WERE PROVIDED WITH UTILITY ASSISTANCE,WITH AN ADDITIONAL 21 FAMILIES PROVIDED WITH GAS ASSISTANCE AND 124 PROVIDED WITH ELECTRIC ASSISTANCE. 22 FAMILIES WERE SERVED THROUGH THANKSGIVING ADOPTION PROGRAM, 55 FAMILIES SERVED THROUGH CHRISTMAS ADOPTIONS, 2,000 CHILDREN SERVED THROUGH CHRISTMAS TOY PROGRAM, AND 450 CHRISTMAS BASKETS WERE PROVIDED..
