Organizations Filed Purposes: All children need a childhood. We bring together and strengthen families, cultivating conditions for children to succeed in life.

Allies for Every Child provides crucial services for at-risk children and families.

Child Development/Early Education: Allies for Every Child ("Allies") early education programs, which leverage base funding from three California Department of Education contracts as well as two Early Head Start contracts, provide high-quality, year-round early education for more than 500 children ages 0 to 5 from very-low-income families. We provide services at our state-of-the-art early education center, through our network of licensed home-based education providers, and in individual family homes. Allies maintains a low staff-to-child ratio in our inclusive, bilingual classrooms to ensure every child's healthy social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development. (See Sch. O)Our highly-qualified educators, child development specialists, and education managers design developmentally-appropriate and individualized lessons with a social-emotional, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), and literacy focus, and deepen their skills with regular professional development. Children receive a healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack and spend time exploring in our learning garden and STEM yard. Parent engagement is key to children's success, so Allies nurtures relationships with parents, partnering with them to support their children's learning and growth through frequent volunteer opportunities, free classes, parent counseling, and access to our comprehensive services.Allies' Layered, Integrated Services: In addition to our child development/early education, child welfare, and foster care and adoption services, Allies provides children and families in our programs with an array of vital, integrated supports, including semiannual disabilities screenings and special needs advocacy, pediatric mental health consultations, trauma screening and intervention, dental, vision, and hearing screenings, bilingual parenting and child development classes, and access to our full time public health nurses. We also connect families with other organizations in our robust network of community partners, including UCLA TIES for Families, Venice Family Clinic, St. Joseph Center, Miriam's House, etc. Allies' transformative, dual-generational approach ensures all children grow up with the foundation to succeed in school and in life.

Child Welfare: Allies contracts with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services to provide Family Preservation services and child abuse prevention programming to more than 600 families annually. We work to prevent children from entering the foster care system by working with families to increase protective factors and protect children who have been (or are at risk of being) abused or neglected. Our highly-trained staff provide individual and family counseling, mental health services, extensive multidisciplinary case management, and host a robust calendar of supportive, inclusive family events to ward off the deleterious effects of social isolation.

Foster Care and Adoption (aka Resource Family Approval Services): Through Allies' Foster Care and Adoption program (also known as Resource Family Approval services), which is partially supported by a contract with the Los Angeles County DCFS, Allies carefully recruits, trains, and supports loving foster and adoptive parents who understand the deep and complex needs of children in the foster care system, and are committed to supporting the best outcomes for the child.
