FAMILY STRENGTHEN NETWORK - An evidence based approach to all of the work we do, focused on building on an individuals and a familys strengths to enhance overall positive outcomes and reduce child abuse and neglect. It focuses on building Five Protective Factors to promote better outcomes: parental resilience, social connections, concrete supports, knowledge of parenting and child development, and social and emotional competence of children. All of our West Sacramento Family Resource Center programs and our Healthy Families Yolo County home visiting program follow this approach. In 2012, over 20 Yolo County agencies and organizations joined together to form the Yolo Family Strengthening Network (YFSN) that aims to bring about fundamental change in how family services are delivered in Yolo County. Yolo County Childrens Alliance is the backbone organization to the YFSN which has been leading the collaborative process to integrate the Protective Factors Framework into Yolo County service systems countywide.

CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION - Non-judgmental family support and case management services for families facing various challenges. In 2020, 112 pregnant and parenting families received home visiting services, which provide practical support for parenting an infant as well as support for accessing basic essential items and other community resources. The aim of the home visiting program, Healthy Families Yolo County, is to improve the infant-parent relationship by enhancing parenting skills and knowledge, promoting healthy child development, and supporting bonding in a safe home environment.
