MOSAIC VISION 2019 ACHIEVEMENTS. As Mosaic continues serving the children holistically, there have been immense contributions in all the spheres of development of the sponsored children as will be elaborated below. Cognitively Development;We had several children join different at least 7 students graduate from Ordinary level to trade and the other 3 to Advanced level of education.; 19 children graduated from primary to secondary and we also had 5 students join University that is F#20 Arinaitwe Hope,F#47 Kenneth, F#14 Emmanuel, F#26 Shammim and F#18 Twongyeirwe Innocent. 2 students reported in Kisiizi Nursing School. C#271 Peace Carol and C#285 Nelson Amanya. Career Development through school visitations to the sponsored children. Scholastic materials have been given to the children per their respective terms. Mentorship of the students in higher institution of learning Physical Development;Several health issues were well handled with a few critical cases of; C#308 Kemigisha Tracy who had some heart complication and is still undergoing reviews F#60 C# Innocent was diagnosed with tuberculosis in March 2019 and was immediately put onto medication and she has fully recovered. Other health issues were well maintained and they included malaria, cough and flue, stomach pains, allergic conjunctivitis. Construction of drying ranks; This was done with help and partnership with Mission Direct. We built 4 tracks in 2019 that is in F#103,160,187 Nutritional Supplements-The 33 children currently living with HIV/AIDS under Mosaic sponsorship received their nutritional foods. 30 water filters from Atta were given to the sponsored families that were struggling with clean and safe water. 31 children were able to receive beddings. These were some of those badly in need of beddings. Through sponsorship, a caregiver for F#154 and HIV positive mother of 5 (who was on her death bed after she had dysfunctionalbleeding) was supported to go through 2 operations. he support came through her childrensponsor. Social Emotional Development:Home visitations to ensure and build child/caregiver relationship, good and favorable environment for good child upbringing. Letter writing and replying to the sponsors;Child updates; Counseling especially during home and school visitations. Participation in Day of the African in which one of our children gave a testimony about living with HIV/AIDS. C#194 Kijusya Joel gave a testimony of what it means to live with HIV/AIDS as a child This was before the district officials, schools and other organizations. Health mental Development: We were able to have at least 1 main centre day (May 2019) and 2 parish center days in Kyamakanda and Bwambara with major purpose to carry out counseling. Discipleship at the parish level. Through sponsor gifts, some children were given bibles We had school conferences in different schools and had over 30 children accept the Lord as their personal Lord and Savior. There was a 3 day diocesan convention in which MV was a participant. It was a time of refreshment for the MV staff as we participated.Next generation conference which was organized by the diocese and some of the sponsored children attended. This is a conference in which discipleship is key and from which youth Christian leaders are raised. Economic Development: Sponsor gifts-Last year, we improved on the goat project where through the support of the sponsors we accumulated to over 50 goats given to the children. The piggery project which has benefited more than 100 sponsored families. These families are currently giving back to other newest families (piglets from the mother pigs they were originally given). Encouraged the sponsored families in planting different income generating crops/gardens and the children were able to put up gardens of vegetables like cabbages, green pepper, eggplants, other fruit trees like sugar canes, mangoes, oranges, ovacados among others. HR Administration: Recruitment of new staff (Mwebesa Daniel) who came in as a replacement of Nancy Gift Tumushabe. Staff Appraisals; Staff weekly, monthly meetings were well observed; Bookkeeping and Financial reports were produced in rather a timely manner Child data bases were updated;Operational staff work plans. Networking and partnership especially with the local leadership i.e. Rukungiri District.
