TO DEVELOP PROGRAMS AND SERVICES IN THE GREATER SACRAMENTO REGION THAT CREATE OPPORTUNITIES TO EDUCATE CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN THE ART OF THEATER AND RELATED FIELDS, TO ENRICH THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH ENHANCED ARTS EXPERIENCES, AND TO PROVIDE ENTERTAINMEN AND ART AWARENESS THROUGH PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY STAGE PERFORMANCES AND EXHIBITS.
During our 2019 Fiscal Year, we produced 37 shows with over 600 performers. We had over 80 students of varying ages from youth to senior involved in weekly workshops, summer camps, and our musical theatre workshops. We integrated youth with seniors in our productions. We continued to develop a performance troupe that toured to schools to perform and do workshops called "Breaking Borders." We have an improv group called "Room for Improv-ment" that is made up of people on the autism spectrum. We were voted the number one best theater group in the Best of the Best competition. COVID-19 impacted our ability to put on shows and continue our workshops and classes during the year so we were unable to produce 8 of our planned shows.
