PERFORM BALLETS TO EDUCATE AND INCREASE CULTURAL AWARNESS OF THE COMMUNITY AND GENERATE AN APPRECIATION FOR FINE ARTS
Festival Ballet Theatre was prepared to presen four productions a year at two venues, the Irvine Barclay Theatre and Renee and Henry Segerstom Concert Hall, as 1.Two full-length classical balletperformances in the spring2.Sixteen performances of the Nutcracker in December 3.Two performances of a classical and contemporary pieces in the fall4.One performance of the Orange County Ballet Festival Gala of the Stars in August FBT has worked in collaboration with the top ballet companies in the United States by inviting guest artists to perform in their productions. Due to the coronavirus, FBT was forced to cancel all in-person performances for the year. FBT filmed a virtual performance of the Nutcraker in December. FBT presentd virtual abridged performances in collaboration with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra and Festival of Children along with other various Orange Cunty Community events. FBT showcased the talents of young dancers while building cultural awarness and provideng education in the area of classical and contemporary ballet.
