To serve as a labor organization and represent its members in labor relation matters with the County of San Joaquin including, but not limited to matters involving wages, benefits and all other terms and conditions of employment
To secure and advance officer safety, promote harmonious employee relations between San Joaquin County and the SJCCOA, to establish an equitable and peaceful procedure for the resolution of differences, establishment of salaries, working conditions, and any other conditions of employment, and where appropriate, legislative and political programs, consistent with the mission of the SJCCOA
To encourage the professional growth of SJCCOA members through education, training, research and development of programs directed towards the safe confinement of criminal offenders.
To provide for the welfare of SJCCOA members by establishing a legal defense program.
