Organizations Filed Purposes: To honor worthy athletes and others who have contributed to the advancement and encouragement of athletic endeavors in Fresno County.

Annual Enshrinement Dinner to honor inductees. Approximately 850 individuals attended the annual dinner in November 2019. Funds will be used for a permanent location for the Hall of Fame. Funds will allow the Hall of Fame to continue to honor athletes at its annual Enshrinement Dinner.

The Hall of Fame contributed time and funds to the following community programs during the year:Women's Conference: The Athletic Hall of Fame partnered with the Boys & Girls Club for their annual "Girls Outreach" event. Sponsored by Educational Employees Credit Union, 80 girls ranging in age from 12-17 had an opportunity to attend this event on the Fresno State campus. They heard Ms. Janae Young tell her stories of perseverance, tour the campus, enjoy a meet-n-greet with current Fresno State athletes and received a financial planning lesson from EECU.Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame Scholar-Athletes: In 1958, the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame was established to perpetuate the feats and accomplishments by outstanding athletes of Fresno County. Since that time, world-class athletes and world champion teams have been inducted. Our inductees have competed in a variety of sports, but hold one thing in common, they were all athletes in their youth. In recognition of that foundation, the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame honors young men and women from within Fresno County high schools. Each season we honor a Senior and Junior boy and girl student athlete. Those chosen athletes are recognized at our annual enshrinement dinner.Peter G. Mehas Scholarship: The "Peter G. Mehas Memorial Scholarship" recognizes a graduating Senior student-athlete (boy or girl) from Edison High School who has demonstrated exemplary team spirit and leadership on and off the field. Recipients are provided financial support in the amount of $2,500 to help them pursue their educational goals beyond high school.

A core objective of the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame since its foundation in 1958, has been the establishment of a permanent home where the rich athletic heritage, amazing stories, and priceless memorabilia of Fresno County could be displayed and celebrated. In 2015 the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame established a display at the Fresno County historical museum located at the Fresno Fairgrounds to showcase some of their memorabilia.
