HABITAT'S MISSION IS TO PUT GOD'S LOVE IN TO ACTION IN FRESNO COUNTY BY BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER TO BUILD HOMES, COMMUNITIES, AND HOPE.
Cost of Construction/Home SalesThe completion of the Church and Laval subdivision in East Fresno, which includes nine single story, detached homes. The nine lots are located in a small, established, unfinished neighborhood. Our investment in this area is supported by a self-help building model that relies on community volunteers, and hopes to instill pride in the neighborhood and bring positive changes to the surrounding area. Our self-help building model and zero percent financing package also allows Habitat Fresno to create a positive alignment between quality construction and ability to purchase. The homes were built in partnership with nine qualified low to very low income families. Habitat Fresno also employed local residents and partnered with local sub-contractors. Partner families and community volunteers were trained in basic construction safety and skills during the build.
