FULL SERVICE PARTNERSHIP/WRAPAROUND YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMPROJECT FOCUS IS A FULL SERVICE PARTNERSHIP WRAPAROUND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 251 CHILDREN, TRANSITIONAL AGE YOUTH, AND 1,004 MEMBERS OF THEIR FAMILIES. SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE, INTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT, COUNSELING AND SUPPORT, PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES, MENTORING, AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES INCLUDING ACCESS TO EDUCATION, HOUSING, MEDICAL CARE, TRANSPORTATION AND OTHER SERVICES FOR YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, HEALTH CARE AGENCY THROUGH THE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ACT (PROPOSITION 63) FUNDS AND FOCUSES UPON SEVERELY MENTALLY ILL OR SEVERELY EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE PROGRAM PROVIDED AT LEAST 5 DAYS A WEEK FROM 9:00 AM TO 5:30 PM, HOWEVER, EMERGENCY SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE 24/7. OCAPICA PROVIDED SUBCONTRACT TO KOREAN COMMUNITY SERVICES FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $344,496.

SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCY/CALWORKS EMPLOYMENT PROJECTOCAPICA'S ADULT WORKFORCE PROGRAM IS FUNDED THROUGH THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, COMMUNITY RESOURCES/ORANGE COUNTY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD THROUGH FUNDING FROM THE ORANGE COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCY. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES UPON INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE ON CALWORKS AND NEED TO BE EMPLOYED A SPECIFIED AMOUNT OF HOURS IN ORDER TO CONTINUE WITH THEIR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE. OCAPICA PROVIDES JOB DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO EACH INDIVIDUAL AND THEN PLACES THEM IN A JOB AND WORKSITE FOR UP TO APPROXIMATELY SIX MONTHS OR LONGER IF QUALIFIED. OCAPICA PAYS EACH PROGRAM PARTICIPANT AN HOURLY WAGE FOR THEIR WORK AND IS CONSIDERED THE EMPLOYER OF RECORD. THE WELFARE-TO-WORK PROGRAMS INCLUDE, EMPLOYMENT PREPARATION PROGRAM, THE WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM, AND ALSO THE VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM. THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 350 COMMUNITY MEMBERS SERVED THROUGH THIS PROGRAM.

YOUNG ADULT WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT PROGRAMOCAPICA PROVIDED WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, CAREER EXPLORATION, PAID AND UNPAID WORK EXPERIENCE, CASE MANAGEMENT, EDUCATION AND TRAINING, AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO MORE THAN 500 LOW INCOME YOUTH IN FIVE REGIONS OF THE COUNTY. OCAPICA'S YOUTH WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY DEVELOPMENT BOARD (OCDB) THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR'S WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT FUNDS. OCAPICA ALSO BUILT PARTNERSHIPS WITH MORE THAN 50 WORKSITES AS WELL AS SUPPORTED YOUNG ADULTS TO FIND PERMANENT JOBS.
