Organizations Filed Purposes:
To promote and support educational activities between the US and Japan and to promote and support non-profit charitable organizations whose work benefits the welfare of the Japanese American community,
US Educators to Japan Program-Send US teachers/educators to Japan to give them educational and cultural insight into the country for the understanding of US/Japan relations. Revenue for this program comes from the annual golf tournament fundraiser. Additional expenses related to the golf tournament which are shown on Part VIII statement of revenue total 57,570
Educational contributions are made by the organization to various educational institutions in the Southern California area. Community event support - To support non-profit organizations and cultural events which provide the welfare of the Japanese American and general Southern California communities.
The Foundation occasionally solicits conbtributions in support of disaster relief as these unplanned events occur. For FYE 3/20, contributions were solicited for disaster relief related to Typhoon Hagibis. 100 of the contributions received are donated to qualified disaster relief organizations.
