Organizations Filed Purposes:
Increase awareness and reduce violence
PRC conducted 65 Virtual Trauma Informed Culturally Specific Workshops in 2020, of which 20 were conducted by African American Youth we trained. Also expanded services to Antelope Valley and trained 19 African American Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) to be Youth Peer Ambassadors, specializing in Mental Health as it impacts Black/African American people. PRC increased finances 14% by the end of the year with a loss of over 40% income in the 1st and 2nd quarter. We provided emergency housing and food to families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, Covid-19, and emergencies. We won a grant from Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) to train Peace Officers in Los Angeles County. We maintained our team during a global pandemic and did not have to fire or lay anyone off. PRC developed a partnership with the Domestic Violence Council/ Office of the Domestic Violence Council; Community Legal Aid SoCal; and Office of Violence Prevention Los Angeles County
