Organizations Filed Purposes:
The MVFD is the first responder for medical and fire emergencies in a remote fire district in the Mayacamas Mountains. Approximately 250 properties are covered by our services. We are staffed completely by volunteers and operate four fire trucks out of two stations.
Fire response services provided for the community utilizing volunteer firefighters. Our units responded to 31 calls during the year. The County reimbursed the organization $50 per call for part of the year. On November 1, 2019 the County contracted with North Bay Fire through Sonoma Valley Fire and Rescue to manage the department.
